Grocery Shopping
Here are some ideas for grocery shopping that you will find very helpful.
Take a few minutes once a week to plan meals and then create your shopping list based on those meals . This will save you time (less trips to the store) and being better organized will save you money also.
Take your weekly family activities into consideration such as parents meetings, kids practices, etc. By planning for these you will eliminate last minute trips to the store and avoid fast food restaurants. Think about possibly cooking and freezing some of the things you might need for these meals on the weekends.

Also, factor in whether or not kids or parents bring their lunches to work or school and any snacks your family might need during the week.
You will find that you will soon settle in on a core group of healthy meals that all of your family will enjoy.
By putting in the time the first few weeks to get organized you will have much more time during the following weeks for time with family, to exercise and to lead a more relaxed and healthy life.
When you are at the store, be sure to bring the attached list that you have
prepared based on your meal planning and stick to the list.
Two important tips to remember are to follow the perimeter of the grocery store (this is where most of the more nutritious foods are usually found) and to never go the store hungry (for obvious reasons).
